WATCH OUT FOR SCAMS and IDENTITY THEFT?

SCAMS: come in different forms - from emails, telephone calls to someone knocking on the front door offering special deals. If it sounds too good to be true - it usually is!

The latest is a door to door scam requesting donations for Neighbourhood Watch!

IDENTITY THEFT: is also becoming more prevalent - so ensure your PERSONAL details are secure.

Be careful when receiving emails requesting personal details and if unsure about using credit cards on-line with your computer then best not to! Collect mail as soon as possible and keep your mailbox locked.

If you think someone is scamming then contact the Office of Fair Trading Queensland on 13 74 68 to verify the offer.

COUNCILLOR EDDY SARROFF NOMINATES FOR MAYOR

Councillor Eddy Sarroff has nominated for Mayor with several important policies:-

LAW & ORDER - more security and police for the Gold Coast

CUTTING COUNCIL COSTS - overspending

CLEAN & GREEN GOLD COAST - street beautification and cleaning away graffiti

SENSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE DEVELOPMENT

Eddy has a real passion for the Gold Coast and is very community minded. He is a devoted family man who believes in traditional family values. He is prepared to stand up to Council Bureaucrats and question costs. With 17 years in council he understands the council system and declares he will work hard to maintain affordable rates.  As a keen supporter of Neighbourhood Watch we wish Eddy all the best with his personal endeavours.
